It was a
relatively light opening week for Hoosier Heartland Conference teams. The
league had only three contests. They went 1-2 headlined by an impressive
performance by Rossville.
The Hornets began the season with a 44-24
dismantling of Lewis Cass on Thursday night. Perennial contender Tri-Central
fell in its opener to powerful Hamilton Heights 71-53. Meanwhile, Logansport
got past Lafayette Central Catholic on Tuesday evening 53-45.
